The error “Setup Cannot Continue Because Outlook isn’t Configured To have Default Profile” normally occurs when user want to synchronize mail, contact, tasks and calendar between outlook and iCloud on their computer. The outlook require that all protocols used for synchronization should be set for outlook only.

But this kind of error states that some application which is set to open that specific protocol. These types of application cause such kind of errors. Sometimes, the applications installed on computer, by default the protocols are not set to be opened by Outlook.
Step 1: How To Set Outlook Protocols
Follow the below steps carefully:

1. Click on the windows icon and then type “Default app” to open the application.
2. In “Default Apps” tab, click on “set defaults by app”.

3. Locate the “outlook” in the list of application and then click on it and select “manage”.
4. Here, you can check all the necessary protocol are set to open with outlook. If some of them are not, then you can simply change it by selecting “outlook” from the list.
5. To confirm the changes, you need to repair the outlook application. Go to control panel->program and features ->Uninstall a program.
6. Locate the Microsoft office in the list as the outlook is the part of Office. Right click on it and then select “change”.
7. Then you need to select “repair” option and click on “continue” button to proceed.
8. After that, to check the synchnorization process is successfull, open the iCloud.
Step 2: Use an Older Version of iCloud
If the above methods does’not work, then you need to install the older version of iCloud. As the new version of iCloud include synchnorization problem. Therefore, install the older version of iCloud and follow the Step 1 again. Hopefully this will solve this problem.
Step 3: Uninstall Previous Version of Office
If you have the office 365 installed, then you need to uninstall the previous version of Microsoft Office. Follow the steps below:
1. Simultaneously press windows+R key and then type “appwiz.cpl” and press enter.
2. Locate the older version Microsoft Office which you want to “uninstall” it. Simply right click on it and select “uninstall”.
3. At last, reboot your computer and then check the problem is solved or not.
Step 4: Execute Commands Using Powershell
If all the above methods does’not work for you, then you need to execute command using powershell. Simply follow the below steps carefully:
1. Click on the windows icon and then type “powershell” in the start menu and right click on it and select “run as administrator”.
2. Type the following command in the powershell:
Get-AppxProvisionedPackage -Online | where-object {$_.packagename -like “*Outlook*” | Remove-AppxProvisionedPackage -Online
3. After executing the above command, close the powershell.
4. Then again open the “powershell” and this time without administrator privilege, then type the following command:
Get-AppxPackage “*Outlook*” | Remove-AppxPackage
5. At last, reboot your computer, then you can repair the Microsoft Office or reinstall the entire package.
