Windows has been favorite OS of the majority of computer geeks in the world and the reason is obvious: simplicity and a great user interface. Anything we want to do with Windows can be easily achieved, thanks to the developers and the team behind Windows. Today we will guide you how to let Windows launch your favorite program in full screen or maximized mode every time you launch it.
Some programs like Chrome or MS Office like Word always need to be opened in full screen or maximized mode to get maximum productivity. However, Windows by default always open them in minimized mode which can cause serious annoyances. By letting your Windows opening these apps in full screen mode, you are saving yourself a few clicks and a few seconds (which can add up over time).
The method is pretty simple and straight forward. Go through the steps mentioned below and you are ready to go. First of all you need to create a shortcut of program that you want to launch in full screen or maximized mode. For that, locate the .exe file of that program and drag and drop it to your desktop.
Once it is dragged to desktop, its done. Next we will need to set it up to run it as maximized each time. Don’t worry, the procedure is pretty simple. Just right click on the shortcut of application you have just created and select Properties option from the popup menu.
Under the shortcut options, look for field Run and select “Maximized” from the menu. Click on Apply and then OK to close the shortcut properties option.
You have done it. Now every time you will open this perticular app, it will always open as maximized. If you have any issues related to this tutorial, feel free to ask.
