Simple Steps To Root Xiaomi Redmi 2 & Redmi 2 Prime Using Updater App
Step 1: Download the Flashable Root Package For your device and transfer it to the internal storage of your phone. As I have provided the link above.
Step 2: Locate the Update App and the open it. Then tap on the three dots located at the right corner. Select “Choose Update Package” from the menu.

Step 3: Select the “Flashable Root Package” which you have downloaded and transfer it to the internal storage of your phone.
Step 4: Wait for flashing process to complete and it will ask you to reboot your phone. Proceed to Reboot.
Step 5: Wait for the booting process to complete as it will take several minutes to boot up.
Step 6: After your phone starts, you will see SuperSu App in the App drawer, simple open it. It will ask you to update SuperSu Binaries. Press on continue button.
Step 7: Then choose normal option to update binaries instead of Choosing TWRP/CMW option.
Step 8: Wait for the Binaries updating process and then press OK. Your Xiaomi Redmi 2 & Redmi 2 Prime have successfully rooted.
To unroot your Xiaomi Redmi 2 & Redmi 2 Prime:
- Simple open the SuperSu application. Go to settings and select “Full Unroot option” and reboot your phone. This will Unroot your device.
